AIU Buckhead School Library

AIU Buckhead's library supports the institution's goal of preparing students for careers in the areas of Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing, Interior Design, Media Production, Game Design, and Visual Communication. The library is committed to acquiring resources and services that not only support and enhance the curriculum but also reflect diverse patron needs. The primary objective of the AIU library is to provide bibliographic, physical, and intellectual access to information through personal guidance in library research methods, traditional reference services, and library instruction or orientation.

Located on the 5th floor of Building 1, the library is open seven days a week with varying hours (see below). Students, staff, and faculty have access to various library resources such as circulating materials, reference items, reserves, periodicals, a computer lab, and media equipment. Almost all of the 29,000 books in the library are available for checkout using a valid student ID. Items not available for checkout—textbooks, periodicals, fashion forecasting, DVDs and VHS, reserves, and reference—may only be used in the library.

The library hosts a book collection comprised of resources for general education and specialized for the institution's major areas of study, such as fashion forecasting publications. Also part of the library's overall collection are over 200 subscriptions to general interest and specialized periodicals found in the periodical room and through online databases.

The computer lab contains 14 computer stations connected to a printer with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office, and electronic databases such as Cybrary, GALILEO, Factiva, Fashion Windows, and LexisNexis.
